Terms of Use

1. Scope

These terms govern the use of the Stillpoint app and of Stillpoint Pro purchases, offered by Aziz Kurt ("we"). By downloading and using the app you accept these terms.

  • iOS: Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies; these terms supplement it. In case of conflict on matters concerning Apple, Apple's agreement prevails.
  • Android: the Google Play Terms of Service apply; these terms supplement them.

How personal data is processed is described in the separate Privacy Policy.

2. The app and your data

  • Stillpoint is a focus timer and task list. It requires no account.
  • The data you enter (tasks, projects, sessions, notes, statistics, settings) is yours and is stored only on your device. Because it is never sent to us, we cannot recover it for you: keep your operating system's backup on and export a JSON backup regularly with Settings › Your data › Export a backup.
  • JSON export and import are always free.

3. Free version and Stillpoint Pro

The free version includes the timer (except strict focus) and focus mode, unlimited tasks, up to 3 active projects (archived ones don't count), the last 7 days of statistics (day and week views, streak, comparison with the previous 7 days, history), two ambient sounds (one layer), the alarm and tick sounds, the basic widget, quick actions, the timer notification on Android (shown as a Live Update where supported) and JSON backups.

Stillpoint Pro unlocks: strict focus, long-range statistics and the full history, the focus calendar (heatmap), all ambient sounds and layered mixes, unlimited projects, additional accent colors, CSV export, advanced widgets; and on iOS only, alternate app icons and the Live Activity. The current list is shown on the purchase screen for your platform. We may improve or change features; we will not narrow Pro's core scope during a period you have paid for.

4. Subscriptions (monthly and annual)

  • Price: shown in the store before you buy, in your currency and including taxes. The most prominent amount shown is the amount you will be billed.
  • Payment: charged to the payment method of your Apple Account or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless it is canceled before the end of the period. On the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends; the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. On Google Play you can cancel at any time before the renewal date.
  • Canceling: you manage and cancel the subscription in the store. iOS: Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions; Android: Play Store › profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Settings › Subscription › Manage subscription in the app takes you there directly. If you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for; refunds for partial periods follow the store's rules.
  • Free trial: a 7-day free trial is offered on the annual plan only, and only to users the store considers eligible; its length and your eligibility come from the store, and the purchase screen shows it only if you are eligible. Unless you cancel before the trial ends (on the App Store, at least 24 hours before it ends), the annual subscription starts and is charged. On the App Store, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase another subscription during it.
  • Price changes: announced in advance under the store's rules; where the store requires it, a new price applies only with your consent.

5. Lifetime purchase

  • It is a one-time purchase; it does not renew and is not charged again.
  • "Lifetime" means the right to use Pro for as long as the app is offered in the store where you bought it; it is not a promise for the length of a person's life.
  • It is unlocked on other devices with the same store account through Restore purchases.

6. Restoring and platforms

  • Purchases belong to the store account they were made with. Settings › Subscription › Stillpoint Pro › Restore purchases brings your purchases on the same account to a new device.
  • App Store purchases cannot be moved to Google Play, and Google Play purchases cannot be moved to the App Store.
  • Without internet access, Pro stays on for up to 30 days from the store's last confirmation; its status is refreshed once you are back online. A subscription or trial you cancelled (one that will not renew) turns off, offline, no later than 3 days after the period you paid for ends. If the store reports that the subscription is no longer active, Pro turns off. A lifetime purchase is always active.

7. Refunds and right of withdrawal

  • App Store: only Apple issues refunds; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Google Play: within 48 hours of the purchase you can request a refund from Google Play (Google Play refund policy). After that, write to support@stillpointfocus.app with your order number (it starts with "GPA."); we review the request under Google Play's rules.
  • Statutory rights of withdrawal under consumer law are exercised through the store you bought from, under its terms; these terms do not limit your statutory rights.

8. When Pro ends

When a trial or subscription ends, none of your data is deleted:

  • Your existing projects stay readable and usable with existing tasks; no new project can be created beyond 3.
  • Statistics older than 7 days are shown as a locked preview; the data is not deleted and can be exported as JSON.
  • The app icon and ambient sounds return to the defaults, and the default accent color shows; we tell you once. Your chosen accent color and strict focus setting are kept and come back when Pro is on again.
  • A strict focus session in progress ends under its own rules; later sessions run without strict focus.
  • The Live Activity and advanced widgets turn off; the widget switches to a locked view.
  • Importing never drops data.

9. Acceptable use

You may use the app lawfully and for your personal use. You agree not to try to bypass the Pro locks or the store verification, and not to reverse engineer, copy or distribute the app except where the law allows it.

10. Intellectual property

Stillpoint's software, name, icons and design belong to us. The licenses of the open-source libraries, fonts and sounds in the app are listed in Settings › Open-source licenses and are governed by their own licenses. You keep the rights to the content you enter.

11. Liability

  • We build the app with care but cannot guarantee that it will work without interruption or errors. The timer and notifications depend on your operating system's settings and restrictions (notification permissions, Do Not Disturb and Focus modes, battery saving, manufacturer-specific background limits); do not use Stillpoint for timing that is critical for medication, safety or health.
  • Stillpoint does not give medical or psychological advice.
  • Except in cases of intent or gross negligence and where applicable consumer law does not allow a limitation, we are not liable for indirect damages or data loss arising from the use of the app. This section does not limit your statutory rights.

12. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the current text is published at this address and its effective date is renewed. We announce significant changes in the app or in the store release notes. If you do not accept them, you can stop using the app by deleting it; if you have an active subscription, you need to cancel it in the store.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye; the courts and enforcement offices of Erzurum have jurisdiction over disputes. As a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence and your right to turn to its consumer arbitration bodies or courts.
